Hi, I’m Patrice, the founder of Romance Insider.

I created this space for women who love romance and also want to talk about what these stories reveal about our lives. With a background in education, storytelling, leadership, and building women-centered communities, I’m exploring romance as feminist art while continuing my own study of gender and women’s studies along the way. Romance Insider brings together books, pop culture, personal reflection, and honest conversation so women can feel entertained, understood, and a little less alone.

If This Beach Reads is where the conversation begins—over a book, a beach walk, or a slightly unhinged voice note—Romance Insider is where we stay with the question and dig deeper.

Romance gives us pleasure, escape, possibility—and sometimes language for things women have never been encouraged to name. It can show us desire, agency, friendship, safety, and choice.
